New Zealand
The South Island
They are the only alpine parrots found in the world. They are very smart an inquisitive. While trying to compose a shot of the mountain in the background the Kea in the first picture flew over right in front of my camera to check out what I was doing!

Milford Sound
Located in Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is home to stunning cliffs, mountains and waterfalls. There are two main waterfalls (Sterling Falls and Lady Bowen Falls) but after a heavy rain thousands of temporary falls can be viewed. I was not able to experience this on my trip but even without them the fiord is absolutely stunning!
The layers of the New Zealand landscape coupled with fog almost on a daily basis made for a perfect combination. The fog adds a sense of moodiness and adds depth to an already breathtaking landscape.
Layers and Fog
The view of Fiordland National Park from a helicopter just before sunset was spectacular. The weather changed at the last minute and did not produce the conditions we hoped for but the landscape was still beautiful,.

A Vast and Diverse Landscape
One minute you will be driving through rugged farm land. Before you know it you will find yourself in a rainforest and emerge on the other side to a beautiful coastline with magnificent sea stacks. It is truly a remarkable place to visit.
